"Jacq is a kickass woman-literally!
She is a strong, capable beauty who could intimidate
most men. How far does a girl have to go to find a good
man? All the way to the 12th century. Rufus is every
bit a match for Jacq with an added dash of "you're
under my protection and therefore mine" hotness.
Set in the time and in the battles fought as Henry takes
the English throne, the combination of battle action
and sexy romance makes this story a standout. The danger
of fights is not glossed over and certainly pulls the
reader into the story. The romance matches the
action. Heat quickly builds and the varied sex scenes
were quite passionate and guaranteed to steam up the
reader. The intensity of the battle situations and Jacq's
ability to contribute to the defense of Rufus and his
people make their fast connection very believable. Not
one
of the many interesting secondary characters at the
keep or among Rufus' men quite steals the story, but
two were special favorites of mine: Gwen who initially
presented as a sort of slutty laundress became a much
more interesting person and "The Beast" because
I'd really like to know more about why this guy is the
way he is. Jacq's Warlord is an exciting action filled
story that never drags and makes great escape reading.
Kudos to Ms. Devlin and Ms. Jackson for writing this
keeper!"

"I absolutely loved this
story. It is full of adventure and non-stop action that
kept me reading long into the night. The depth of emotion
between Jacq and Rufus was magnificent and the sexual
tension was intense. The love scenes absolutely ignited
the pages with their heat yet were, at the same time,
extremely sweet and tender. Their understanding and
acceptance for each other was beautiful. The characters
were also very humorous which made them all the more
endearing. This book is a "must read" and
definitely earned a place on my "keeper" shelf!"

"Jacq's Warlord by Delilah
Devlin and Myla Jackson is a delight to the senses and
a balm to those who've been looking for a good erotic,
time-travel book. It's obvious these two authors put
a lot of time and preparation into this tale. The war
between Henry and Stephen turns out to be integral to
the story--that's all I can tell you without spoiling
the plot. Oh, and that it provides for some rather lighthearted
moments when Jacq begins to train Rufus's soldiers.
Ms. Devlin and Ms. Jackson
have created a cast of characters that are both, fully
developed and true-to-life. Rufus is the quintessential
knight, but in not so shining armor as far as Jacq is
concerned. Jacq is Rufus' quintessential idea of what
a woman should be if she'd keep her mouth shut, except
when spoken to, and stay put when he places her somewhere.
(Laughing Out Loud) Thank god
they're deeply attracted
to one another or this couple may never have gotten
together. The romance between Rufus and Jacq develops
over the course of the book, rather than all at once,
neither of whom, wants to become seriously involved
with the other. The friction and sparks between the
thoroughly modern Jacq and the chauvinistic Rufus will
keep you laughing and sighing in wonderment at their
antics. The passion that exists between them, burns
brightly and there's a lot of heavy rockin' and rollin
that is likely to cause a heart palpitation or two,
so you'd best come prepared with whatever you feel you
need. (Grin)
If you're looking for a great
erotic, time-travel romance, then look no further
Delilah Devlin and Myla Jackson's, Jacq's Warlord is
it!"

"Jacq's Warlord is steeped
in medieval culture. The contrasts between modern conveniences
that are taken for granted by most, and the struggle
to even exist in the past, both in daily living and
in battle, are portrayed exquisitely in this wonderfully
woven tale of the age-old battle between men and women.
I was hooked at the first page! Delilah Devlin and Myla
Jackson did an outstanding job with the storyline and
the relationships. I loved reading about Jacq's tactical
suggestions for battle, as well as her disgust and outrage
at how women are treated, and her determination to change
their situations for the better.
The passion between Jacq and Rufus is so believable,
erotic, and incendiary - I'm surprised they didn't toast
the tapestries, it was so hot! If you're feeling a little
naughty, and you want to get away from it all, take
a trip back to the 12th century
and maybe Rufus
will come and get medieval on you. I'm packing my bags
right now!"

JACQ'S WARLORD brings back
memories of traditional romances of the 80's and 90's,
only in this book's case, a whole lot spicier. Despite
Jacq's size and training with a sword, she was unable
to defeat Rufus, or even really hold her own. That may
have burned feminism, but it was also very realistic.
The sex between Rufus and Jacq was earthy and often
wild, not to mention very hot. Their sparring, verbal
and physical, were amusing even while Jacq was on the
losing end. Light humor, a fast pace and a sexy medieval
hero gave JACQ'S WARLORD the right kind of vive to keep
a reader going. The plot, too, wasn't skimpy. Rufus's
battles for Duke Henry fueled the fast pace and gave
real reason for Rufus and Jacq's arguments. Rufus was
the epitome of a manly character, and rather chauvinistic
at that, but he still had moments where he proved that
Jacq's opinions and feelings were important to him.
JACQ'S WARLOD was a nostalgic read with plenty of sexy,
funny moments.

A thoroughly entertaining
version of A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court,
JACQ'S WARLORD is filled with adventure and romance.
Rufus Rathburn was raised to believe a woman's place
is in the home, protected behind very thick walls. So
when Jacq starts teaching his men about guerilla warfare,
it is a bit of a jarring surprise. Unfortunately for
Jacq, although the tactics are helpful in battle, they
do nothing to soften Rufus' desire to protect her. Still,
angry or not, neither Jacq nor Rufus can keep their
hands off of each other. Will Jacq stay with Rufus or
find a way to return to Georgia and the father who loves
and needs her?
Secondary characters include
Rufus' men-at-arms and the people of Rathburn manor.
They offer some comic relief and background to the tale,
but the story mainly focuses on the developing relationship
between Rufus and Jacq. There are also a few bad guys
to deal with, adding a bit of spice to the tale, though,
not quite as spicy as the sizzling attraction between
Jacq and Rufus.
For an enticing bit of action
and romance wrapped within a time travel tale, pick
up your copy of JACQ'S WARLORD today and enjoy.

"I adored this story
by Ms. Devlin and Ms. Jackson. It is full of intrigue,
a contest of wills between two strong individuals, and
a lot of hot heated passion. Jacq is an independent
woman who learns it is not wrong for her to lean on
a man once in awhile. Rufus sees that loving someone
does not make you weak, and that women do not have to
be frail and delicate. I hope these two authors write
together again soon."

"Two incredible authors,
Myla Jackson and Delilah Devlin, who both know how to
intertwine perfect characters and mind-boggling plots,
create this extraordinary story. Jacq is a kick-butt
heroine and certainly doesn't bow down to Rufus in anything.
Rufus is your typical alpha-type knight in shinning
armor and loves to be in control. The sparks that fly
between Jacq and Rufus are enough to ignite an entire
forest. Love scenes bring passion and lava like heat
to the reading experience. Myla Jackson and Delilah
Devlin have come together to write a book that is sure
to be a people-pleaser. I hope this won't be the last
time this wonderful duo comes together to write a fantastic
tale of medieval adventure."

Jacq's Warlord is an exciting
romantic adventure filled with unbridled passion. The
setting is England in the year 1153 A.D., a time when
men took charge and women were expected to obey meekly.
The men of that time find a modern day woman a definite
challenge. Jacq is a strong-willed woman who has been
trained to fight with sword and martial arts. Lord Rufus
is not used to being questioned when giving orders.
The two butt heads many times spurred on by their mutual
attraction. Passion sizzles between the two as they
come together in graphically explicit, stimulatingly
described encounters. Excitement exists on every page
of this story. As battles are fought Jacq uses skills
she has obtained to help protect the castle and people
she has come to care about. The men of the time are
not used to a woman not needing their protection. Jacq
shows the men that women can be useful in more ways
than they ever considered. History comes to life through
the descriptive words of Delilah Devlin and Myla Jackson.
Jacq's Warlord is a steamy sexy tale filled with exciting
adventure and passion.
